(A) It gives the reaction of Zinc Salts.
(B) A reddish colour is produced.
3 Solubility It is practically completely soluble in mineral acids and insoluble in water.
4 Acid-insoluble substances Not more than 1 %.
5 Alkaline substances If a red colour is produced, not more than 0.2 ml of 0.05 M sulphuric acid is required to decolorise it.
6 Water-soluble dyes The filtrate is colourless.
7 Ethanol-soluble dyes The filtrate is colourless.
8 Arsenic Not more than 8 ppm.
9 Lead The solution remains clear for 5 minutes.
10 Calcium The solution remains clear.
11 Soluble barium salts The solution remains clear.
12 Chlorides Not more than 750 ppm.
13 Sulphates Not more than 0.6 %.
14 Loss on ignition Not more than 2.0 %.
15 Assay Not less than 98.0 % and not more than 100.5 % of ZnO, calculated on the ignited basis.

PACKAGING

MOLZINC® CLM is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
