1 Characters It occurs as a soft, white or faintly yellowish-white, amorphous powder, free from grittiness. It gradually absorbs carbon dioxide from air.

(A) It becomes yellow when strongly heated; the yellow colour disappears on cooling.
(B) Specified test. The solution gives the reaction of zinc salts.
3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water and in ethanol (95%). It dissolves in dilute mineral acids.

5 Carbonates and substance insoluble in acids Specified test. The solution is not more opalescent than opalescence standard OS2, and colourless.
6 Arsenic Not more than 5 ppm.
7 Iron Not more than 400 ppm
8 Lead Specified test. The solution remains clear.

10 Assay Not less than 99.0% and not more than 100.5%, calculated on the ignited basis.

PACKAGING

MOLZINC® OXI is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside, and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserve in tight containers.
